Dig is a USC graduate-level thesis project written by Jono Seneff & David Hudson. The production has been greenlit by the USC production faculty after undergoing a semester-long course of preparation.
The Locked shooting dates are February 23-27
The film takes place in a “rural valley in western North Carolina.” For the production we will be shooting at the family farm I grew up in thirty minutes outside Asheville North Carolina. (4 hours from Atlanta GA, 2 hours from Charlotte NC)
We will be shooting on the ARRI Alexa Mini. Since the vast majority of the shoot is outside we want to shoot in anamorphic to capture the expanded horizontal FOV in order to bring the audience to the location more effectively. We think the ATLAS lenses are the perfect marriage between legacy anamorphic and modern simplicity.
The production will be fully insured up to $1,000,000
This crew is battle tested. A large portion of this crew has worked together on countless projects. Most-recently, the Tesla 3 Spec commercial we made was widely acknowledged for its emotional authenticity and visual aesthetic.
